We are facing a critical moment in the fight to maintain safe working conditions within our correctional facilities. The recent decision of the New York City Council to override the Mayor's veto of Intro 549, which seeks to ban punitive segregation, poses a significant safety risk to both our officers and inmates. The council is set to hold a vote to override the mayor’s veto on Tuesday, January 30th. 

In response, we are mobilizing an urgent campaign to make our voices heard. We are asking each of you to take immediate action.

Your participation is crucial. We need you to express your opposition to the override of the Mayor's veto of Intro 549. This legislation will jeopardize the safety of everyone in our jails.
